When Kim Kardashian West stripped down for the naked selfie she just posted to Instagram, she must have had some artistic inspiration in mind. When you can get over the eye-popping fact that she reality star is posing full-frontal, with her famous curves on display (and the NSFW areas blocked out), your mind might reach back to the October 2010 cover of W Magazine. Shot by Barbara Kruger, it showed a clothes-free Kim posing with her hands on her hips and the artist's signature bars of words covering her breasts and bikini zone (see it here).
The snaps have their differences (namely, Kim's body looks significantly curvier in the new one, and her hair is blond), but the general feeling is there. After having made her mark on the selfie game with a legit coffee table book, it takes a lot for Kim to one up herself, but this might have done it. Plus, what are the odds that we're looking at a cover for a second edition of the Rizzoli tome?
