Prince William and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, Prince George And Princess Charlotte Play In The Snow [PHOTOS]

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge invited the Press Association's royal photographer John Stillwell to take new photographs of them and their children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte enjoying a skiing holiday in the French Alps. 

According to the Kensington Palace Twitter account, this was their first holiday as a family of four and the first time either of the children have played in the snow.

In an official statement the couple said that it was a very special and a fun short holiday for the family and they are grateful that John Stillwell was able to capture the moment so well. 

Photographing skiing trips has long been something of a tradition with the British Royal Family. Prince Charles is known to be an avid skier and many photos were published in the past of him with his two sons, Prince William and Prince Harry enjoying themselves on the slopes of ski resorts such as Klosters in Switzerland.

In 2002 the threesome were photographed on the slopes of Whistler in Canada.
