After being high school sweethearts since 14 years old and nine long years if marriage, Robin Thicke and Paula Patton decided to call it quits on their relationship. After trying to win her back, the “Blurred Lines” singer’s ex-wife finally filed for a divorce, and while Thicke moved on, it looks like Patton is having another chance at love.
Patton has moved past the singer’s cheating ways and she recently opened up about how she’s moving forward after the heartbreak. While promoting her upcoming film “The Perfect Match,” Patton posted a Facebook video about how it’s important to give love another chance, even if you’ve been hurt.
“You need to know that it’s worth it. At the end of the day, having a partner in crime for life is so amazing and special when it’s real and genuine, that it’s worth taking the risk,” said Patton, according to E! News. And you are going to get hurt, trust me, I know! I’ve been hurt a up, and give it another chance. I know I’m going to!”
As far as who Patton is looking for in her life, she knows that she doesn’t want any pouty men.
“If you pout you’re out. I’m not dealing with a pouty man...I’m not doing that anymore,” said Patton.
The former lovebirds previously came together and were spotted giving each other a warm hug. They united for their son Julian’s soccer game earlier in November and they cheered their 5-year-old son on together.
Patton and Thicke were there to celebrate the special occasion as their son proudly received a soccer trophy award.
On Andy Cohen’s show “What What Happens Live,” Thicke admitted that him and his ex-wife are on “best terms.”
“The good thing is when you have that long of a friendship and you have a child, you can put that first,” said Thicke. “The most important thing is giving him a healthy, happy life.”
Thicke explained that they managed to put the pain behind them in order to help raise their son.
Now, Thicke has moved on to dating a brunette named April Love Geary, who appears to have a strong resemblance to Patton.
