"Scream Queens" season 2 will be a riot!
Niecy Nash has signed on to reprise her role as Denise Hemphill in the hit comedy horror series, according to Deadline.
The actress confirmed her return to the show via Twitter. She posted a photo of the show's season 2 announcement with the caption: "Denise Hemphill back for season 2."
Details about the new season have been scarce, but it has been announced that the show will be set in a hospital "where some of the most fascinating and bizarre medical cases are under observation."
Nash opened up about the character in an interview with Vulture, saying, "I always thought, somewhere in the back of my mind, that Denise Hemphill and Raineesha Williams, who I played on 'Reno 911!', were related in some way."

The comedienne added: "Denise was a woman who definitely takes her job seriously. So even though she's funny and over-the-top, I always try to keep a certain brand in there. Something along the lines of 'I know exactly what I'm talking about and I know that I'm right. Even if I'm wrong, I'm right.' And that's a character I've based on my mother, actually."
Fans can also expect to hear new catchphrases from Nash in the the second season.
When asked if she ever improvised during the first season, the comedienne said, "Oh, yeah, I'm the one who improvises all the time. I think that was part of the reason I got this job in the first place. I'll do a take nad I'll give you exactly what's on the paper, and then after it's like, 'Do whatever you want, do soemthing different, do something else.'"
Apart from Nash, fans can also expect to see Lea Michele and Emma Roberts when the new season airs.
"Scream Queens" season 2 has not been given an air date.
