Stevie J's marriage to Joseline Hernandez may be under water right now, but the reality star is making great strides to repair the bridges he once burned down with his children's mothers on "Stevie J & Joseline Go Hollywood."
Stevie already had made amends with his youngest daughter Eva's mom, "Love & Hip Hop Atlanta" cast mate Mimi Faust, and now he's looking to restore the friendship he once had with his kids Stevie Jr. and Savannah's mother, Antoinette Bennett.
On the upcoming episode of SJGH, Stevie invites his kids' mom out to visit them while their living it up in Hollywood, and he makes sure he gets some one-on-one time in with his "best bestest baby mama" too.
"I met Antoinette, Stevie and Vannah's mom, back in the late 90s. But when the kids were born I headed for the exit. But now I'm trying to rekindle our friendship," Stevie explained to greenroom cameras in the episode six sneak peek. "I just wanna let bygones be bygones and fix this relationship we once had, so we can just be cool and be on the same team again."
In the clip, the music producer takes accountability for not supporting Antoinette "financially" and "physically," and says that the reason why he failed her in the past was because he was too busy "destroying" his own self.
However, Stevie's "clean as a whistle" now, and Antoinette explains that she's more than ready to give him the chance to make up for lost time with their children.
"We all make mistakes. No one's perfect," Antoinette replied. "That's all I ever asked. Just talk to me, communicate. You're gonna always be their father. We gonna always be family, no matter what. The bottom line is I'm glad to see you're at a better place."
We're glad to see Stevie completely cleaning up his act and taking responsibility where it matters most.
Now if only he and Joseline can get on the same page.
