New behind-the-scenes images reveal that the cast of "The Flash" recently filmed a scene where an armored metahuman attacked Barry Allen and his friend Cisco Ramon.
SpoilerTV noted that set pictures showed the new metahuman wearing an armored suit and wielding a scythe, which led many fans to believe that could be Rupture.
Comic Vine reported that Rupture's real name in the comics was Armando Ramon and he was the brother of Cisco.
Armando also used the aliases Reverb and Hardline in the source material. His powers are similar to Cisco in that he can travel between worlds and manipulate sound waves.
However, Armando started out as a hero but sadly fell victim to mind control and became a villain.
Given the fact that Cisco's doppelganger Reverb was a villain and he never mentioned having a brother named Armando, it is possible that Rupture is from Earth-2.
Even though Barry and his team closed all the breaches, there is a chance Rupture has similar abilities to Cisco and is still able to travel to Earth-1.
Perhaps Rupture feels that Barry and Earth-1 Cisco caused Reverb's death and now he wants to get revenge.
Aside from the new set photos, the CW recently released the official synopsis for "The Flash" season two, episode 16.
Comic Book reported that Barry and the others decide to have a fun night out on the town in "Trajectory."
Unfortunately, a mysterious female speedster attacks them and it is clear that she is up to no good.
Meanwhile, Iris has to deal with new writing challenges and a possible flirtation with her new boss.
The preview for "Trajectory" hinted that the new speedster is trying to frame the Flash for a string of petty thefts, which leads to Iris's new boss urging his writers to publish negative pieces about the scarlet speedster.
"The Flash" will return on Tuesday, March 22, at 8 p.m. ET on the CW.
