Spring is just around the corner but winter is certainly going out in style. Check out five things we loved this week below.
The Dreslyn Celebrates The Citizens of Humanity x Gjusta Collection
On March 9, The Dreslyn hosted an intimate dinner for fashion influences at Gjusta in Venice, Calif. to celebrate the launch of its collection with Citizens of Humanity.
The stylish denim line has collaborated with Venice, California based restaurant group, Gjelina, to design jackets for the staff of Gjelina's bakery, Gjusta.
Citizens of Humanity's Women's Creative Director, Catherine Ryu, worked in collaboration with Gjelina's Partner and Chef, Travis Lett, as well as Partner and Director of Operations, Shelley Armistead, to design the uniforms. Inspiration from vintage French work wear pieces found during Ryu's travels in Paris shaped the exclusive outerwear styles. Designed and manufactured entirely in Los Angeles, the Gjusta uniforms are made out of a satin-back Supima cotton twill from Japan, giving the product a soft and luxurious feel.
The Dreslyn is now exclusively selling the jackets for $228 each on thedreslyn.com will donate 20% of the proceeds to the Gjelina Volunteer Program which aims to educate children on the importance of connecting food (through gardening and cooking), nutrition and environmental sustainability.
The Dreslyn is also launching the Citizens of Humanity collection on the site for the first time with this special partnership and charitable item.
Lady Gaga Tattoo Gets Matching Tattoo With Sexual Assault Survivors
She may have left the Oscars last week without a statue, but following her powerful performance, Lady Gaga took home something just as meaningful.
Gaga and the 50 men and women who courageously stood next to her on stage as she sang "Til It Happens to You," all got matching tattoos after making a pact during rehearsals.
According to tattoo artist David Allen, who posted the pic of the pop-star's new ink, the symbol stands for "solidarity for survivors of sexual assault."
