Jessa Seewald is opening up about her brother's scandal.
On Tuesday's episode of "Jill & Jessa: Counting On," Jessa reflected on how challenging Josh Duggar's molestation case was for her.
"It was very difficult and we cried a lot of tears. I felt like it was especially difficult for me because I had spoken out in defense of Josh and had stood up for him and then there was a whole another wave of things that came through," Jessa explained, according to People. "It was really difficult for me to just be like, 'I stood up here, I spoke out for him,' and yet there were some things he was hiding and wasn't being honest about. It was very emotional through those months after that, just working through all that."
Despite being an emotional time for Jessa and the rest of her family, she later went on to reveal just how much this scandal has actually strengthened her marriage to husband Ben Seewald.
"For us as a couple, it even strengthened our resolve to be true to our wedding vows and to always keep our first love, which is God and pursue that and then to pursue each other 100 percent. I feel like we as a couple, even drew closer together through the difficulty," Jessa said.
This was not the first time Josh's scandal had been discussed on the "19 Kids and Counting" spin-off. During the Tuesday, Apr. 19, episode, Josh's wife, Anna Duggar, revealed how difficult Josh's treatment process had been on her.
"I can definitely look back on the past few months and say it's been a hard road, but it's been a good road, and I know there's still a lot of work," Anna said in the episode. "We'll just keep on taking it one day at a time, keep trusting God and doing the next right thing."
