Aubrey O'Day says her new music is something that will shock us all.
Last year, O'Day teamed up with former Danity Kane bandmate, Shannon Bex, to form dumblonde. The duo released their debut, self-titled album in 2015 to rave reviews.
After completing their nationwide tour and releasing their final music video, "Remember Me," fans have been dying to know when they can expect new music from dumblonde, and it seems as though that day is coming.
While promoting her new reality series, "Famously Single," O'Day opened up about dumblonde's second album with New Music Buzz, where she gave a little bit of information as to what fans can expect from the new music.
"We're actually on our sophomore album right now. We're in the studio finishing it up," O'Day explained. "We're gonna take a completely different direction with this album. It's gonna be unexpected, and we're playing with a new sound that isn't familiar to us."
O'Day also addressed the delay in dumblonde's new album, which was believed to be released this month. However, due to the new sound O'Day discussed, she and Bex are making sure they take all the time necessary to make it sound just right.
"It's been taking a bit of time to get it exactly how we want it," O'Day said. "We're being pushed creatively. We're back in the studio with the same team."
In a recent Instagram post, O'Day revealed that she had made a change to her appearance, in preparation for recording dumblonde's sophomore album.
"Cut my hair for the studio today. dead weight," O'Day captioned the photo, which is posted below.
Dumblonde's new album is expected to be released later this year, but fans can catch O'Day on "Famously Single." The show airs Tuesday, June 14, at 10 p.m on E!.
