New spoilers for "Castle" season eight hinted Rick Castle is going to get kidnapped while trying to figure out who killed a popular actor during a Broadway show.
SpoilerTV reported that ABC released the official synopsis for episode 20, which is titled "Much Ado About Murder."
Rick and his wife Kate Beckett are called in to investigate after a movie star turned theater actor is mysteriously killed on stage.
As they try to track down the killer, Rick and Kate discover that the actor had more to worry about than just memorizing his lines.
The promotional trailer for "Much Ado About Murder" hinted that the actor had ties to an infamous drug lord and there is a good chance he was killed to protect some nefarious secret.
ABC also released a sneak peek of episode 20 that hinted the drug lord is going to kidnap Rick.
The preview revealed that the actor wanted to make a movie based on the drug lord's life, but he declined because he thought the movie star was terrible.
The drug lord then told Rick he kidnapped him because he wants the author to write a movie script based on his life. If Rick does not comply, then the drug lord is going to kill him.
Carter Matt added that ABC also released the official synopsis for episode 21, which is going to be titled "Hell To Pay."
An axe-wielding psychiatric inmate who escaped from prison somehow managed to break into Rick's office and mysteriously died.
This leads to Rick and Kate trying to figure out why the escaped inmate broke into the office. As the investigation goes on, Rick starts to wonder if the victim's death is the work of the Antichrist.
"Castle" season eight is currently airing on Monday nights at 10 p.m. ET on ABC.
