There have been a variety of rumors circulating regarding Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh’s relationship.
While neither of the actors have confirmed nor denied the dating rumors, their actions hint that they are together. We have heard the two gush about each other in various interview and engagement rumors previously made rounds.
Previous reports stated that Singh’s family always loved Padukone, which is a good sign if the two wanted to get married.
Rumors of the couple’s engagement started up again after Hema Malini went to Twitter to congratulate her good friend.
“Deepika, All good wishes on ur engagement! Pray God both of u have a bright future, happiness & joy in ur life together,” tweeted Malini. [sic]

Malini’s followers started making assumptions about her referring to Padukone and Singh, but then minutes later she went back to Twitter to clarify her post. “No no! This is Deepika who is following me on Twitter! Not Ms Padukone!” tweeted Malini.

It’s been a while since we’ve seen Padukone and Singh together since they are both busy with their own films. The last time we heard about the two was when they attended a close friend’s wedding in Sri Lanka.
Padukone and Singh were spotted together at the wedding, where he also met his “Bajirao Mastani” co-star’s parents. According to DNA, Padukone’s parents appeared to be very comfortable with the actor and has accepted him to be with their daughter.
The couple have also always gushed about each other, and recently she admitted that he is her boyfriend.
For a long time, Padukone has constantly referred to Singh as a “good friend,” but now when she is asked about him, she admits that they have a special bond.
During a recent interview with Filmfare (via Bollywood Life), Padukone talked about Singh’s energy levels and how she can never match up to her boyfriend.
“Ranveer’s energy is different. If he’s doing a serious film like ‘Bajirao Mastani’ then his energy is like that of the Peshwa. And he stays in that mood and zone. Off screen his energy is different. I can’t match up to that and I don’t intend to either,” said Padukone.
