"Game of Thrones" star Isaac Hempstead-Wright recently hinted that his character Bran Stark is going to be "crucial" to the great war with the White Walkers.
Hempstead-Wright recently sat down to discuss the sixth season of "Game of Thrones" with Entertainment Weekly and hinted Bran's dreams could help save Westeros.
"We learn that his storyline is very important," he said. "Bran realizes that he's been having his dreams because he's got to save Westeros. It is such a cool storyline now."
The "Game of Thrones" star added that Bran is going to be a key player in the war against the White Walkers.
"Bran is pretty close to being the Three-Eyed Raven now," Hempstead-Wright explained. "Previously, he's seen tine glimpses of future or past but never has he been in very much control of the situation. Now, we're given looks into very important events in the past, present and future. Bran is going to piece them together like a detective, almost as if he is watching a show. Equally, he is discovering how crucial he could be to the great war. His power is not in just telling us about the history, but could also have a serious impact on the future."
Hempstead-Wright's "Game of Thrones" co-star Jonathan Pryce also recently sat down with Vulture to discuss his character's motivations in the sixth season.
Pryce hinted that the High Sparrow's intolerance for any citizen of Westeros who defies the Faith of the Seven is going to be explored in future episodes.
"The High Sparrow's intolerance is a bit on the back foot, but it is definitely there," he said. "Everything he's doing this season was hinted at in the last season, and his intolerance is there for all to see."
Pryce added that "Game of Thrones" season six is going to explore the High Sparrow's backstory and reveal why he wants to promote the revolution of the working class.
"The High Sparrow is a man of the people and he wants to promote the revolution of the working class," he explained. "His ideas are very good, it's just that his beliefs are very homophobic and bigoted. In season six you'll find out more about the High Sparrow, including what drives him and how he came to be a member of the Faith of the Seven."
"Game of Thrones" season six is currently airing on Sunday nights at 9 p.m. ET on HBO.
