"Once Upon A Time" season 5 took the lead characters to the Underworld to meet a new villain named Hades (Greg Germann). However, what most of them didn't expect was that Hades would fall in love with Zelena (Rebecca Mader), so Rumple (Robert Carlyle) wasted no time in using Hades' weakness to get out of a nasty contract — the contract that would require him to hand over his second child to the ruler of the Underworld.
Entertainment Tonight shared a sneak peek of the exciting confrontation between Rumple and Hades. Rumple had Pan (Robbie Kay) holding Zelena captive on his side, while Hades carried the contract in question and a worried expression.
"We wouldn't be here if you had ripped up that contract when I asked you to," Rumple told Hades as Pan holds Zelena — who is currently unable to do magic — hostage inside Granny's Diner.
"Rip up that contract and then you get the witch," he continued telling Hades.
Without hesitation, Hades ripped the contract and asked Rumple to hand over Zelena. However, what Rumple will do next still remains a question for the next episode.
Earlier, Mader told TV Line that even though Zelena has fallen in love with Hades and is tempted to run away with him, she is actually feeling torn because she does not want to leave her sister Regina Mills (Lana Parilla) behind.
"Part of her wants to try to trust him," she explained. "He's told her that she's his true love and that True Love's Kiss will restart his heart, and then they can go and leave everybody behind. But a part of her is like, 'I don't know if I want to leave Regina behind actually.' It's a bit weird for her because she's starting to have sisterly feelings for Regina."
"Once Upon a Time" airs every Sunday at 8 p.m. on ABC.
