"Orphan Black" creators John Fawcett and Graeme Manson have opened up about Delphine's (Evelyne Brochu) disappearance.
Delphine was shot in the final episode of season 3, and until now it is unknown whether she is alive or dead. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Manson said it will take fans a while before they uncover the mystery.
"It's a disappearance," Manson clarified. "So, Cosima's struggling with that disappearance. We're going to keep struggling with that with this season."

The producer added: "It's part of the mystery, finding that answer. And we promise tears and heartbreak along the way."
When asked whether there will be answers about Delphine's disappearance and the identity of the person who shot her in the previous season, Manson maintained that they will not reveal anything at the time and that fans should just watch out for what will happen.

Fawcett also previously teased that there is "some mystery" to Delphine's disappearance despite the character being included in the In Memoriam video released by BBC America for the death of characters in "Orphan Black," according to TVLine.
Meanwhile, Tatiana Maslany, who plays Ph D student and Delphine's lover Cosima (among many other characters), teased how the character will cope with the idea that the Dyad CEO might already be gone for good.
"Cosima has just lost Delphine," the actress said in a clip. "So she's in the middle of dealing with that while at the same time pushing forward her own research about her biology and where she fits into the mystery."
Watch out for details surrounding the mystery of Delphine's disappearance on "Orphan Black" season 4, Thursdays, 10 p.m. on BBC America.
