We’ve been hearing a few details about the new “Baywatch” movie, which is based on the David Hasselhoff TV series.
We’ve been hearing about a few sneak peeks with the lead actors, Zac Efron, Dwayne Johnson and Priyanka Chopra, and this time, the Bollywood actress is opening up abutter character.
Chopra caught up with E! News during Tuesday’s Time 100 Gala, where she was being honored as one of the past year’s most influential people, and talked about how she feels about her character as a villain.
“How many people tae on ‘The Rock?’” said Chopra about her co-star Johnson. “See, that’ll be a notch on my list.”
As far as sporting a red swimsuit, Chopra told the publication that she won’t be sporting it “because I’m the villain, but I might be in a swimsuit. Watch out for that!”
“I think ‘Baywatch’ will be a summer blockbuster and I’m not just saying it because I’m in it,” continued Chopra. “I saw a bunch of scenes right now and it’s the funniest movie ever. Dwayne and Zac Efron have the best chemistry, and I come and interrupt their chemistry.”
Chopra will reportedly be seen in an action-packed avatar in the film. She will allegedly be training in a martial art for called Kajukenbo to beat Johnson.
Chopra has previously gone through extensive training for action packed Bollywood films such as “Jai Gangaa Jal,” “Mary Kom,” “Don” and “Drona.” She’s also gained some fighting skills for her TV series “Quantico.”
“She is always up for trying new stunts and techniques, and she is really excited about preparing for this role. Apparently, one of the best Kajukenbo trainers in America has been hired to work with her,” said a source to Hindustan Times.
