Ramona Singer is comparing her divorce to Bethenny Frankel's.
During season 7 of "The Real Housewives of New York City," Ramona adjusted to her new life as a single woman, after she separated from ex-husband Mario Singer, due to his affair.
In Bravo's sneak peek of the "RHONY" season 8 premiere, Ramona sits down with Carole Radziwill, and the conversation starts off light, before getting into Ramona's divorce.
"It's a whole new world out there. It's a whole new life," Ramona told Carole.
Ramona then says she recently threw a party for her friend with a reggae band. However, Ramona pronounces the word "reggae" as "ra-gay" rather than "ray-gay."
Typically, Carole says she would let this slide, but she just had to correct Ramona on this major mispronunciation.
"Ramona has no embarrassment about her malapropisms, and it's kind of rude to point all of them out to her, but 'ra-gay,' I could not let go," Carole joked.
The women then discuss Ramona's divorce. Carole asks Ramona if she still has her house in the Hamptons, which Ramona confirms she does, along with her New York City apartment. Ramona explains that she was able to keep both properties, because she bought Mario out.
Carole then asks Ramona if she and Mario are getting along.
"No, we're not talking," Ramona responded.
Despite the strained relationship between she and Mario, Ramona says her main focus was to get the divorce finalized as soon as possible, unlike one of her other castmates.
"Once I realized that there was no choice but for us to get divorced, I was not going to draw it out for years and years and years the way Bethenny is," Ramona explained. "We did [the divorce] in like four months, and I approached it like a business. I took the emotions out of it."
The season 8 premiere of "The Real Housewives of New York City," titled "Start Spreading the News," airs Wednesday, Apr. 6, at 9 p.m. on Bravo.
