There is already drama surrounding season 2 of "The Real Housewives of Potomac."

Due to the success of season 1, Bravo TV recently revealed that they had renewed "RHOP" for a second season.

Clearly, it was an easy decision to renew the series, due to its high ratings. "RHOP" went on to be the highest rated freshman series for Bravo since "Vanderpump Rules" and "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills."

However, Bravo was unhappy with the current roster of ladies--Gizelle Bryant, Ashley Darby, Robyn Dixon, Karen Huger, Charrisse Jackson-Jordan and Katie Rost--whom brought in these high ratings.

According to The Washington Post, season 2 filming kicked off Monday, Apr. 25, with all of the ladies returning.

Originally, Bravo had hoped to make some cast changes, but they did not work out.

"[Bravo] was really looking but couldn't find anyone else to do it," a source told the site. "They're stuck with who they were able to get."

Despite the network being unhappy with the cast, some of the women's major drama that will go on next season is already known, with both Charrisse and Katie dealing with failed relationships. Charrisse, specifically, recently confirmed that "RHOP" had put the final nail in the coffin for her troubled marriage.

"Being on the show has brought my marriage to a dead end," Charrisse wrote in her Bravo blog. "We don't really talk and when we do it's not a good conversation. I've come to terms with the demise of my marriage and will be moving forward with my life."

Katie, on the other hand, ended her engagement with Andrew Martin just one day before the season 1 reunion.

"I love Andrew and our relationship isn't perfect. Sometimes you have to step back in a relationship. I don't want to speed into marriage and have it not work out once again," Katie said about her breakup with Andrew.

Season 2 of "The Real Housewives of Potomac" is likely to premiere later this year or early next year on Bravo.
