One of Bollywood’s most successful actors, Shahrukh Khan, continues to create hit after hit, and after releasing "Fan," he's preparing for his upcoming film “Raees.”
We’ve been hearing a lot of details about the actor’s movie and fans are excited to see what all the hype is about, however, we might have to wait for the movie even longer.
“Raees” is apparently facing some legal troubles, which might cause a delay in the film’s release.
According to Business of Cinema, The Ahmedabad local court issued a notice to SRK’s production house as a case has been filed by Latif’s son Mushtaw Sheikh. The case has been filed against the actor, who will play Latif in the movie, claiming that the film has portrayed his father in a bad light and his high reputation in the society is not shown in a positive manner. He also claimed that the portrayal in the film can result in his family getting a bad name.
Latif’s son also demanded Rs. 101 crore ($15.182 million) for the alleged damages.
The publication further explained that the makers of the film already consulted the members of the family when they were executing SRK’s character and had also told them that the film is based on Latif’s life.
In the mean time, SRK apparently wants to make sure that “Raees” has a good release date and doesn’t clash with any other big films. The actor has been looking for a good date that won’t class with Salman Khan’s “Sultan” Eid release.
According to Bollywood Life, a source said, “Shah Rukh is looking to postpone his film to 2017. He wants the date, January 26. But there is another film on that date. Hrithik Roshan’s home production ‘Kaabil,’ directed by Sanjay Gupta. SRK has had a word with the Roshans. There are not many choices left. And he cannot indefinitely postpone the film. He has to take a call soon.”
