After being turned down by Kaitlyn Bristowe on the last season of “The Bachelorette,” Ben Higgins finally found his future wife on "The Bachelor." Higgins and Lauren Bushnell are enjoying their life as an engaged couple and are ready to start their future together.
On March 14, we watched Higgins leave Bushnell in tears of joy as he got down on one knee to propose on the season finale of “The Bachelor.”
Now that “The Bachelor” is finally over and it is no longer a mystery as to who Higgins proposed to, the happy couple can publicly post updates about their relationship.
We’ve been hearing about a variety of reports about Higgins and Bushnell’s relationship from their life together as an engaged couple to their wedding plans. However, new reports are stating that there’s already trouble brewing between the couple.
Higgins is reportedly fed up with the fact that his fiancé still doesn’t have a job. According to InTouch Weekly, Bushnell hasn’t been actively looking for work since the couple moved in together to Higgins’ Denver home, and he is getting frustrated with her.
Bushnell worked as a flight attendant, but gave up the job when she moved from L.A. to be with Higgins.
“Ben has told Lauren numerous times to get a job,” a source told the publication. “She isn’t contributing to their life at all.”
The source continued to explain that there is a reason why Bushnell isn’t looking for a job. She apparently misses her friends and family in L.A., and she doesn’t want to get a job which will force her to stay in Denver.
“That’s why she’s no committed to finding a job or settling down,” the source added.
Bushnell is apparently hoping to convince Higgins to move back to L.A. with her so she can be closer to her family. The source also told InTouch Weekly that they think Bushnell will be successful in this plan.
“She’s usually good at getting her way,” said the source.
However, this could make things between the couple worse. Previous reports stated that Bushnell is unhappy in her relationship with Higgins and is apparently struggling to begin a married life away from the attention and the cameras.
We’ve been hearing about the couple’s future wedding plans, including that they rather have it sooner than later. Now, new reports are circulating that they want to have a TV wedding with ABC.
Higgins and Bushnell were reportedly hanging out in L.A. earlier this month with intentions of planning a TV wedding. They previously admitted that they’re not against the idea and apparently met up with Neil Lane then left town. According to Blasting News, while the couple was in L.A., there was speculation that they were there talking to producers of “The Bachelor” to set up their television wedding.
