Sony's upcoming comedy feature "Rock That Body" is putting a full fleet of female talent together.
"Broad City" star and creator Ilana Glazer will hit the screen with Jillian Bell ( "Workaholics" ), Kate McKinnon ( "Saturday Night Live"), Zoe Kravitz and Scarlett Johansson.
According to TheWrap, the film follows five friends who rent a beach house in Miami for a bachelorette weekend and the festivities go a little bit off the rails.
"Broad City" director and writer Lucia Aniello will direct the film from a script penned together with Paul W. Downs. The film was voted to the 2015 Black List and is being eyed for a 2017 release. Aniello and Downs will produce the film under the Paulilu banner with Matt Tolmach ( "The Amazing Spider-Man") and Dave Becky ("Horace and Pete").
Aniello and Downs have been writing partners on "Broad City" since its first season. Recently, they teamed up with Glazer for the Comedy Central miniseries "Time Travelling Bong" in which Glazer and Downs' characters find a bong that allows them to travel through time and space.
Not only are Glazer and writers Aniello and Downs connected, but each of the comediennes set to join the lineup for "Rock That Body" have been involved with Sony in some way.
McKinnon is starring in the upcoming Sony "Ghostbusters" revival. She is also filming a DreamWorks comedy "Office Christmas Party."
Glazer and Bell co-starred in the Sony comedy "The Night Before." Bell also played the villain in Sony's "22 Jump Street," and Aniello and Downs are currently working on a spinoff for the studio.
It looks like "Rock That Body" is going to bring a lot of the Sony family together.
