"Grey's Anatomy" season 12 will end with death.
Apart from the rise in tension between Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) and Amelia (Caterina Scorsone), the season finale of the hit ABC show will feature many other arcs, including the shocking death of one of the characters, according to TVLine.
"It's a really emotional episode,"said Kelly McCreary, who plays Maggie Pierce, said. "It's all about matters of the heart, and the culmination of a lot of challenges that we've seen in the major relationships, [especially] April (Sarah Drew) and Jackson (Jesse Williams), Callie (Sara Ramirez) and Arizona (Jessica Capshaw), and Owen (Kevin McKidd) and Amelia."
Ever since pulling off Derek's (Patrick Dempsey) surprise death, the show has started to get the reputation that a character might exit anytime, and the teaser for a character's death appears to strengthen it.

Fans have started speculating who it might be. One of the characters that appear to be in the running for getting booted off is Dr. Webber (James Pickens Jr) because his story arcs are no longer as many. Andrew DeLuca (Giacomo Gianniotti) is also a strong contender for getting off the show. His character has not progressed since he joined the show, but since he was only recently promoted as a series regular, things might still change.
A cast member might have dropped a major hint about the arc, though. Ramirez has posted a message on Twitter about her involvement on the show, hinting at her probable exit.
"That's a wrap for Doctor #CallieTorres #Season13 #GreysAnatomy #ThankYou all for an enriching & unforgettable #Rollercoaster ride!" Ramirez said.
While it sounds like the actress is already saying goodbye to the show, it is unlikely that she was referring to her character's death in the finale because it would be an awful way to spoil things for fans.
Watch out for clues as to who will leave the show when "Grey's Anatomy" season 12 airs Thursday, 8 p.m. on ABC.
