Between real-life presidential candidate Donald Trump and his apparent fictional counterpart Frank Underwood of "House of Cards," the latter seems more ruthless and would be willing to go to greater lengths just to win the elections.
When USA Today asked the cast of "House of Cards" how Underwood would defeat Trump, Constance Zimmer jokingly answered, "I think he would just kill him! I think he'd just off him. That's clean. He'd just finish him."
Her co-star Neve Campbell agreed. "I have a feeling he'd have to get violent," she said. "I think he'd have to cut it off at the pass."
Zimmer, who played journalist Janine Skorsky on the show, said that a lot of politicians have drawn parallels between their show and real-life politics.
"The first time we came [to Washington] for the first season of the show, we had politicians coming up to us and saying, 'Oh, we're much dirtier that that.' And we were like, 'What? What are you talking about?!" she said.
Zimmer was shocked to hear politicians make this admission, so she confronted them. "And I [asked], 'Really, are you guys killing people, what's happening?' And they're like, 'We're not gonna tell you, but we'll just let you know, it's much dirtier," she said.
Earlier, lead star Kevin Spacey said that he sometimes worries whether or not the show has "gone too far" with their storyline or "crossed the Rubicon" by creating "something unbelievable."
After all, his character Underwood has done a lot of shocking things, such as pushing his lover Zoe Barnes (Kate Mara) in front of a moving subway.
But whenever Spacey turns on the TV and watches the news, he is led to believe that they "haven't gone far enough," according to Raw Story.
