On May 2, Katy Perry was one of the many fashionistas who hit the red carpet at the "Manus X Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology" Costume Institute Benefit, also know as The Met Gala, at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.
In one of the most memorable looks the "Firework" singer was dramatic and dark wearing a black, midnight blue and emerald green velvet open back short-sleeve belted gown with gold enameled collage embroidery by Prada.
She completed this Gothic Alien ensemble with a vampy black matte lip, black leather fingerless opera gloves, gold statement jewelry and sleek high bun with bangs. As a total '90s nod, she also brought along a white Tamagotchi. Yes, that's right, as in the old school handheld digital pet.
