The newest addition to the "Love & Hip Hop Atlanta" cast is telling all about her family's criminal past.

So far on season 5 of "LHHATL," the cast has heard that Karen "KK" King and her family were previously involved in some serious crimes. KK, specifically, was believed to have been on America's Most Wanted list in the past.

Due to all the gossip surrounding her and her family, KK has finally come clean about the crimes she and her family were accused of.

In a new interview with VH1, KK began by confirming that she has been to jail in the past, but she said she had a good reason to end up there.

"I've been to prison, not one time, but a few times," KK revealed. "It's unfortunate. I've made mistakes, but when you're a single mom, and you don't want your kids to struggle, you might make some choices that are not so good."

She then addressed the rumors that have been floating all over the Internet, since she and her family were confirmed to be joining "LHHATL." According to All About the Tea, KK and sons Scrapp DeLeon and Sas "were arrested and indicted in the brutal beating, kidnapping and attempted murder of Sas' own father, Lyndon Baines Smith in 2012."

KK elaborated on this topic and confirmed that Lyndon is just fine.

"I was accused of murder for hire, meaning hiring my children to kill their father," KK stated. "Just to let you know, he's in the club just like y'all every night. He's definitely not dead."

KK went on to explain that this situation happened, because Lyndon beat up her sons' half-brother, so her sons "reciprocated."

However, KK said she believes there was a deeper meaning for her sons beating this man up.

"They were beating him for not ever being there for their whole life," KK said. "They were angry, and now this was the opportunity to get back."

KK also confirmed that she was on the run and appeared on America's Most Wanted for, allegedly, setting this incident up, but she was adamant that she had no influence in the matter.

Season 5 of "Love & Hip Hop Atlanta" airs Mondays at 8 p.m. EST on VH1.
