Zayn Malik broke things off with Perrie Edwards a few months ago when he decided to split from One Direction.
Reports stated that the two aren’t on the best of terms, but now it looks like the two might be reuniting again for the first time after breaking up.
It’s no surprise that Malik and Edwards kept their distance from each other after their split, however, they might be forced to reunite this summer.
According to Seventeen magazine, Malik and Edwards will take the stage on June 11 for the Summertime Ball in the UK. Malik is set to perform his first European solo show, and Little Mix will be performing at the Ball for their “Get Weird” tour.
Malik and Edwards’ split apparently didn’t go so well, and previous rumors circulated that he was kicking his ex’s mom out of the house that he bought for her. However, those rumors got put to rest.
According to E! News, Malik is not kicking his ex-girlfriend’s mom out of the house.
“She is still living in the house,” Malik’s rep said. “Zayn has very generously allowed her to live there for the past couple of years, but she is buying a house with her boyfriend so will be moving out once it completes.”
Although Malik and Edwards are broken up, Malik always has nothing good things to say about his ex. He also wanted to clarify that he didn’t break up with her over text message.
“I have more respect for Perrie than to end anything over text message,” said Malik to Fader magazine. “I love her a lot, and I always will, and I would never end our relationship over four years like that. She knows that, I know that, and the public should know that as well.”
The former One Directioner said that the cheating buzz didn’t have anything to do with leaving the band, giving this insight into the situation: “The two things never really coincided in my mind. Obviously, publicly, that’s the way it worked, because it worked well for the purpose. Them two stories looked good together side by side. Stories came out because we were in Thailand, and we were out and about... I t was just a peak where the fame was intrusive and invasive.”
“It wasn’t because of that I left - that was just a contributing factor to everything. I’d already made my mind up before that,” added Malik.
