Social media has shown an outpouring of support and sadness for Nice, France after Thursday night's terrorist attack, which killed 84 and injured at least 18 others.
The attack, orchestrated by 31-year-old Franco-Tunisian Mohamed Lahouaiej-Bouhlel, occurred in Nice during Bastille Day celebrations, shedding a somber light on a day meant for pride and patriotism. The violent incident comes on the heels of shootings in Dallas that killed five police officers, and just eight months after Paris faced horrific tragedies at the hands of gunmen and bombers that killed 130 people.
Artists and cartoonists channeled their anger and confusion about the attack and the uneasy state of the world into beautiful images of love, peace and support that were shared widely across Instagram Friday morning.
