Although we're still a few months away from the release of the newest iPhone, we've been hearing some exciting rumors about what to expect from the 7 (hello, improved water resistance!). And if the latest leaked photos are to be believed, we could have some new models to choose from with this next generation: iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Pro, and iPhone 7 Plus.
Pretty, right? Though the newest model isn't a massive departure aesthetically, spilling wine water on an iPhone 7 might not be nearly as traumatic as spilling it on your 6, thanks to the long-speculated-about absence of a headphone jack, which is one of the main ways liquid sneaks in to ruin your iPhone. Headphones will now supposedly connect via the lightening port—but don't panic about how this makes your favorite headphones useless just yet: All phones are rumored to come with a standard 3.5mm adaptor in the box (thank you, Apple).
Additionally, the 7 is expected to have a sharper screen with an edge-to-edge display, bezel-less metal body (that means more screen and less border), a faster and more battery-friendly processor, a pressure-sensitive home button that's flush with the rest of the phone, and redesigned antennas. Oh, and the 7 Pro looks like it will have a dual-lens camera—for optimal selfie-taking, obviously.
But Androids will still have crazy-high definition OLED technology in their court...at least with this upgrade. However, wireless charging looks like it might be possible for the distinctly tablet-esque 7 Pro (note the three dots on the back of it in the above picture). The iPhone 7 models are supposed to launch with iOS 10 and 3GB of memory.
We're excited to see which of these rumors are actually true come release day, which should happen sometime this fall.
