In today's "it was bound to happen" news, a new dating app is designed to go with Pokémon Go. Fittingly, it's called PokéDates.
As with other dating apps and sites, you start by answering some questions about yourself. Then you say when you're free for a Pokémon Go session, and the app sets you up with like-minded Pokémon hunters in your area who have similar availability. You get to confirm any potential setups before you set out to capture Pidgeys and Squirtles together.
Whereas most digital dating services rely on an algorithm to match you up with people, PokéDates has actual human beings (via the company Project Fixup, which is powering the app) who play matchmaker and set you up with someone based on similar interests, according to The Verge.
If you're single and are already into Pokémon Go, there's no reason not to try PokéDates—after all, the first date is free. (After that, you pay a $20 fix-up fee each time you're connected with someone new.)
