It may be 95-degrees and humid where you are, but we've got to talk winter boots. Yes, you read that correctly...winter boots!
Why are we talking about winter boots on what could quite possibly be the steamiest day the North East has seen all summer? Because our go-to boots are going buh-bye. Ugg Australia, purveyor of sheepskin footwear for three decades, is discontinuing its most popular style, the Classic. But before you go off writing angry odes to your former footwear love, get this: The reason Ugg is getting rid of its tried-and-true boots is to make room for the Classic II ($160) a newer, more stealth winter boot than before. And they promise that we'll love them even more than you did your old ones.
In all fairness, the Classic II looks remarkably like the originals. You'll notice small differences, such as the tougher tread on the soles, so you can actually wear these puppies when black ice and other winter issues are happening. The logo is a bit smaller on the back, and the piping at the side is a bit thicker, but you can't really even see the best part: They're water and stain resistant. So no more water splotches or salt stains on your boots! Can I get a yasss? Ugg had some fun with this news and even showed us that it can handle everyday ordinary stains with aplomb....and some...well, not so ordinary ones too.

And even splashed cappuccino...
Now, we'll attest to these claims, because guess what? We tested them ourselves in the name of science. While some of us (ahem, me) couldn't stop the stains from attacking the rest of my outfit (hey, stop judging!), the boots stood up to them.
