With just one month left until the long-awaited return of J.K. Rowling's wizarding universe—courtesy of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, which hits theaters November 18—Warner Bros. is giving us a magical gift to help take our minds off the countdown. IMAX theaters are screening all eight Harry Potter movies this week and next week with showings that run through October 27.
It's about time for a personal day off from work, right? And we have to say, this is pretty much the perfect reason to take one—or two, or three—of them. After all, the eight movies collectively add up to almost 20 hours, so you can split up the viewings over a few days, or, you know, settle in for one long run. Hey, we're not judging here.
The best part for diehard Harry Potter wizards fans? This is actually the first time anyone has gotten to see the first and second movies in an IMAX theater—they've been super-sized just for this—so you're definitely going to want to catch them on the (really) big screen. Theatergoers also get a never-before-seen sneak peek at Fantastic Beasts. And, if you're geographically lucky, you'll get to sit in on a live Q&A with some of the actors from the movie in Los Angeles and London theaters.
Tickets will be available in four packages: single tickets for those who restrain themselves; day access, which gives binge-watchers admission to three or more shows in a single day; four-show access, which lets guests into four shows any time, any day; and festival access, which gets you and your Potter squad into unlimited movies throughout the whole span of the showings. That being said, what exactly's on offer ticket-wise might vary from theater to theater.
