A Texas restaurant chain is catching heat on-line for its policy of not allowing people with face or neck tattoos to dine at its organizations.
Little Woodrow's has restaurants in Dallas, Austin, Houston, San Antonio and Midland, the place the controversy over the dress code began.
All places require purchasers to cover any face or neck tattoos with a view to be allowed inner, the business's lawyer, Philip Brinson, advised KOSA tv in Odessa.
"We don't like to refuse provider to anybody, but if someone comes in and is not dressed correctly, we can ask them to both alternate it up a bit bit or, in this case with tattoos, cover it up," he noted.
Brinson spoke of the restaurant doesn't have an issue with tattoos in other places.
The eatery started feeling a backlash for its costume code when Joeseff Rivera, who has a face tattoo, posted a video on fb on Nov. 8 alleging he had been denied carrier on account of his tattoo, whereas the bouncer had tattoos on his hands.
"I just got here to Little Woodrow's, and that they would not let me in to spend my funds as a result of I have a tattoo on my face," Rivera says in the video.
Many commenters on the video say the restaurant's policy is discriminatory and unfair.
Brinson instructed KOSA television that best two people have been turned away as a result of their facial tattoos. One man had a neck tattoo, which he covered to benefit entrance. The other became Rivera.
In Dallas, the Kung Fu Saloon in Uptown came beneath hearth in 2014 after a person become became away as a result of his communicate sneakers. That man, DeAndré u.s., is black and spoke of that a white pal turned into allowed into the bar regardless of wearing the identical footwear.
