From wunderkind Cori Gauff's big name-making first-circular overcome Venus Williams, to Andy Murray's triumphant return to kind in the blended doubles (with Serena Williams, no less!) after principal hip surgery, Wimbledon 2019 continues to amaze. And why wouldn't it? For smartly over a century, its famed grass courts have seen moments of magnificent athleticism and exciting grace; they've considered tempers flare ("You cannot be critical!"), hearts damage, and—when all is said and finished—a brand new set of victors crowned. and that's no longer even counting the signature thrives of the All England garden Tennis and Croquet membership—the tennis whites, the Royal box, the strawberries and cream. "I'm so satisfied it's Wimbledon time once again," eight-time champion Roger Federer observed currently. "i love this area."
