"American Horror Story" has been picked up for season 6, but there is still not much to know about the upcoming installment of the hit FX anthology series.
FX boss John Langraf has confirmed that the next season of Ryan Murphy's series will be set in two time periods. The location and the theme of the season, however, has not been announced. The lack of details has not stopped fans from alking about the next season, though. Below are some of the theories fans have devised regarding "AHS" season 6.
1. Boarding School
Many fans believe that the emphasis put on the name of Scarlett and Lachlan's boarding school in the finale of "AHS: Hotel" was a clue to what the next season's theme would be: Boarding School.
While the idea of going to a school far away from your home might not exactly be scary to some, one cannot discount that there is a possibility that some horrible things might happen during one's stay at a location full of strangers.
The kids that The Countess (Lady Gaga) transformed and took in also appeared to be wearing uniforms, which might be a hint at a season about a boarding school.

2. Cult
Some fans have been speculating about a season centered on a cult, particularly one that involves serial killer Charles Manson. The idea is not far-fetched. There are a lot of scary things that can happen within a cult. Also, Murphy revealed in a past interview that he and the production team toyed with the idea of doing a Manson-focused season.
Murphy said he did not push through with it because it seemed disrespectful to Manson's victims, and it was also hard to get rights for the story. But he maintained that he has not crossed out the idea and he might actually tackle it in the future.
3. Anti-Christ
There have been many talks about an Anti-Christ-centered season. The idea of the Anti-Christ was first teased in the first season of the show, sub-titled "Murder House." In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Murphy teased that the upcoming season will be about an idea that they first explored in the first season. Could he be referring to the Anti-Christ?
