(Photo : Official Facebook/Fuller House) The creators of "Fuller House" promise an "edgier" version of the series in the Netflix reboot, due in February.

"Fuller House" will be drastically different from its wholesome family-friendly predecessor according to producers, who promise a modern, edgier series.

Creator Jeff Franklin spoke frankly about the reboot of the classic ABC series during the TCA Winter Tour.

In a report by Entertainment Tonight, Franklin revealed that the reboot was going to have a bit more "adult humor" than the original sitcom.

"It's still a show designed to entertain kids, and at the same time we entertain adults, which is always the challenge to find that balancing act," Franklin remarked to Entertainment Tonight.

"But I think [these first 13-episode run] is definitely weighted a little bit more to the adults because we're getting to know our three girls that are now beautiful women," he explained of the show's premise.

The intent of the Netflix series is to showcase a recently widowed D.J. Tanner-Fuller (Candace Cameron Bure) who moves back home and asks for help raising her three children from her sister Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin) and her best friend Kimmy (Andrea Barber).

The iconic home that came to represent the series was painstakingly recreated and now sits on the Warner Bros. lot. It is designed exactly like the real-life house that sits in San Francisco and was used for all the exterior shots and opening credit sequences in the original ABC series.

Franklin also spoke about the other original cast members who will appear on the series, including John Stamos, Dave Coulier, Bob Saget and Lori Loughlin.

"We're also revisiting what we call the legacy cast, our three uncles and aunt Becky as well," Franklin added. "There're a lot of adults to include so then, by nature, it has to be a little more adult."

Franklin and Executive Producer Rob Boyett also spoke about the absence of Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, who shared the task of playing Michelle Tanner.

"They haven't ruled out appearing on the show at some point," Boyett revealed. "But not in this first batch."

"Fuller House" premieres Feb. 26 on Netflix.
