The show returned with Michael showing off a new girlfriend.
Xo spotted them together outside the Cubano truck, and Jane tried to find out more details on her through social media.
But things didn't go as planned when, while on her phone and holding Mateo, the child hit his foot on Jane's phone keyboard and sent Michael's girlfriend a friend request.
Jane fessed up to the accident and she and Michael agreed to have no contact with Michael, including un-friending him on his social media account.
Petra tried to find a way out of her mother's murder accusations and ends up considering a plea deal that comes with an 18-month prison sentence even though she is pregnant with Rafael's twins.
Her fears are unjustified when while preparing a steak in the Marbella's kitchen, she and Rafael discover the knife that Magda said was the murder weapon was found in her utensil drawer. Magda was eventually taken away to prison.
Rogelio's mother Liliana came for a visit and revealed to Jane that Rogelio's father was no longer with her because he revealed he is gay and leaving her for another man. Rogelio was shocked to hear the news.
Liliana was devastated to learn Rogelio found out the truth about her husband because she felt once Rogelio knew, her husband would tell the whole world and her marriage would actually be over for good.
What the family didn't expect was Rogelio's father admitting to everyone that Liliana had known about his sexual orientation for 40 years.
Luisa revealed that her mom Mia was actually dead, and not the crime lord Mutter.
It was later revealed that Rafael's mom was and in fear for her life, she stabbed Rafael with a syringe.
"Jane the Virgin" starring Gina Rodriguez, airs Mondays at 9 p.m. on the CW network.
