One Direction’s Louis Tomlinson is now a dad! The 24-year-old pop star announced the arrival of his newborn son on Twitter this weekend. Read on to learn 7 things to know about Louis’ baby.
1. He was born on Friday, January 22.
Louis announced the birth one day later, tweeting, “I’m pleased to say my baby son was born yesterday. He is healthy and pretty amazing :) I’m very happy!!” He added, “Daddy daddy cool” and another tweet consisting only of smiley faces.
2. He was born in LA.
E! Online writes that Louis was spotted out in LA wearing a hospital bracelet.
3. The baby’s mom is 23-year-old stylist Briana Jungwirth.
Briana is based in LA and became involved with Louis in 2015 after meeting at an LA nightclub.
4. Briana was more than ready for the birth.
A week before giving birth, Briana posted a baby bump photo on Instagram with the caption, “so ready for you my love !!”
5. Louis and Briana are friends but not dating.
A source told Us Weekly before the birth, "Louis didn’t expect this, but he’s excited for it now. He’s become very close friends with Briana this year and now they are looking forward to being parents. He’s definitely going to be there and be a great dad for their baby."
6. Instead, Louis may be dating someone else.
Louis has recently been linked to “The Originals” actress Danielle Campbell. E! Online writes that the two have been photographed spending time together in London but neither has confirmed that they’re dating.
7. Harry Styles tweeted congratulations.
“Flowers all round,” Harry tweeted on Friday.
