The CW recently released the official synopsis for episode 12 of "The Vampire Diaries" season seven, which hints that Stefan Salvatore is going to try to save his brother Damon from spiraling out of control due to Julian's influence.
TVLine reported that the synopsis for "Postcards From The Edge" Damon is spiraling out of control thanks Julian's influence and his experience inside of the Phoenix Stone.
Stefan is determined to save his brother and attempts to reason with Damon, only to discover the devastating reason why his sibling has hit rock bottom.
Judging by the new photo released by the CW, it appears as if Damon and Stefan have a heart-to-heart in a broken-down neighborhood in Mystic Falls.
As Stefan attempts to save Damon, Caroline is forced to turn to Valerie for help after she starts suffering from a few side effects thanks to her supernatural pregnancy.
Meanwhile, Bonnie is going to team up with Nora and Mary-Louise to track down a ruthless vampire hunter named Rayna after they find evidence that shows she has reappeared in the world.
Aside from the new synopsis for "Postcards From The Edge," The CW also released a new sneak peek for "The Vampire Diaries" midseason premiere.
According to TV Fanatic, the scene shows Damon waking up in the middle of a Civil War camp.
The vampire is greeted to a fellow soldier calling him a "hero" and Damon is then informed that he has been unconscious for a long time.
Damon also received a letter from Stefan soon after he woke up and he is disappointed to read that Valerie has left his little brother with out a word.
The letter went on to reveal that their father has become an alcoholic in the wake of his wife's apparent death.
Stefan also confided in his little brother that he is suffering from depression too.
It will be interesting to see if these hallucinations inside of the Phoenix Stone are based on actual events from Damon's past or if it based on his guilt for killing his mother Lily.
"The Vampire Diaries" midseason premiere "Hell Is Other People" will air on Friday, Jan. 29, at 8 p.m. on the CW.
