3. "Wolf Hall" Was Historically Accurate
Instead of turning Thomas Cromwell into a one-note villain, Mark Rylance's performance showed viewers that the historical figure was actually a complex man who struggled with his decisions.
Plus, unlike Spike's "Tut," "Wolf Hall" stayed as accurate to the historical record as they could.
From the death of Cromwell's daughter to Anne Boleyn's remark about having a little neck, the executive producers used as many details as they could find in order to bring these characters to life.

2. Mark Rylance Is A Talented Actor
Both sites such as the New York Daily News and the Guardian raved about Rylance's performance in "Wolf Hall."
Even though the miniseries wasn't always action-packed, there was something compelling about Rylance's performance as Cromwell that kept viewers glued to their screen as they followed the character through his emotional journey of losing his mentor Cardinal Wolsey to becoming King Henry VIII's confidante.
While the other nominees are talented actors, they do not have Rylance's quiet charisma.
1. Winning The Award Would Boost Rylance's Career
Finally, winning the award for "Outstanding Performance By A Male Actor In A Television Movie Or Miniseries" at the 2016 Screen Actors Guild would be a great boost for Rylance's career. Executive producers and casting directors would see that he's very charismatic, which could lead to more roles.
There is even a chance that he could go on to star in Oscar-nominated films in the future if he plays his cards right.
The 2016 Screen Actors Guild awards will air on Saturday, Jan. 30, at 8 p.m. on both TBS and TNT. "
