"Allegiant," the third installment in the "Divergent" movie franchise, has yet to hit theaters, but preparations for its follow-up, "Ascendant," are already underway.
Shailene Woodley and Theo James will still be the center of attention in the upcoming film, but fans should also keep an eye out for the supporting characters, according to the movie's hairstylist Yolanda Toussieng.
In an interview with International Business Times, the hairstylist said: "We're getting ready to do the fourth [movie]. It's in the future, but the background [characters] is where we put a lot of attention into. I think their looks were ... we got a little harder with their looks, a little choppier hair, a little more tattoos, a little more edgy ... strong and hard."
Toussieng also said that it was with the supporting characters that she and the other stylists got to experiment with looks because the production people wanted Woodley and James to look "more conventional" than their co-stars.
Among the supporting actors in the movie are Zoe Kravitz, Maggie Q, Miles Teller and Jai Courtney.

The change in the supporting characters' looks is not the only thing fans should look forward to. The movie might also take a different course in general because it will be helmed by a new director.
Robert Schwentke, who directed "Insurgent" and "Allegiant," has departed the "Divergent" film franchise, according to Deadline.
The second part of the movie version of Veronica Roth's book "Allegiant," was originally titled "Allegiant - Part 2." It was later changed to "Ascendant" and was given the tagline "The End Is Never What You Expect."
Some fans have speculated that the tagline suggests an ending that is different from Roth's version on the book.
Roth addressed the speculations surrounding the change in title in a blog post, saying: "What does this mean? Well, basically, it means there are going to be some changes. But it's really too early to know exactly what those changes will be or the extent of them."
"Ascendant" is set to hit theaters on March 24, 2017.
