"Grimm" star Claire Coffee recently sat down to discuss the fifth season and the actress revealed that her character Adalind Schade does not trust Juliette Silverton, even if she was granted a new identity by Hadrian's Wall and calls herself Eve now.
Previously, Nick Burkhardt's ex-girlfriend Juliette Silverton was assumed to have died but in reality, the hexenbiest was taken captive by a group known as Hadrian's Wall and brainwashed into becoming an assassin strong enough to take down the Wesen rebel group called Black Claw.
Thanks to her captors' effective brainwashing techniques, Juliette's identity has been erased and she now goes by the name of Eve.
However, Coffee told TV Guide that Adalind is still very wary of Nick's former flame.
"Adalind doesn't feel okay about Eve being back," the actress explained. "She's very scared of Eve and she's very scared of what Eve being back means for her relationship with Nick. Even if Eve has changed, I don't think she really trusts that Eve is a totally different person and that she won't jeopardize Adalind's relationship with Nick."
The "Grimm" star added that there will be a scene in an upcoming episode where Eve decides to "involve" herself in Nick's home life because she is worried his relationship with Adalind will affect his loyalty to Hadrian's Wall.
"Eve's concerned about Nick's loyalties," Coffee said. "She's also worried about what Adalind might do to jeopardize the loyalties they are trying to establish between Nick and Hadrian's Wall."
However, Coffee added that Adalind eventually decides to side with Hadrian's Wall against the Black Claw rebels.
"Adalind gets swept into the war in a very serious way very soon," the actress explained. "It's going to affect Adalind's storyline and the family throughout the rest of the season."
Aside from Coffee's new interview, NBC recently released a new promotional trailer for "Grimm" season five, episode 11.
SpoilerTV noted that the preview for "Key Move" revealed that Nick and his friend Monroe are going to travel to Germany to retrieve an ancient artifact hidden in an old church.
Unfortunately, a group of Wesen guards the church and the two friends will have to defeat the creatures if they want to find the artifact.
"Grimm" season five is currently airing on Friday nights at 9 p.m. on NBC.
