After watching Kaitlyn Bristowe go on a roller coaster ride for eight weeks on “The Bachelorette” with lots of drama between her and the contestants, we finally got to see her pick her fiancé. She chose Shawn Booth and it seemed as if she’d made the right choice.
While some relationships would have failed at this point, Bristowe and Booth continue to go strong as they keep their spark alive.
Now that “The Bachelorette” is over, Bristowe and Booth continue to get to know each other off the show. They’ve been maintaining a strong relationship while getting back into their normal routine of living life together, but some people are still skeptical about their relationship.
Reports are claiming that Bristowe and Booth’s relationship is fake after former Bachelorette contestant JJ Lane made the shocking allegation in a new interview. He told InTouch magazine that their “relationship is a shame,” and that “they have a business relationship. Shawn is only sticking with her for the money.”
“Shawn is such a jealous, insecure person. There is no way that Kaitlyn is going to be able to live her life long-term with a guy like that. [If they do get married] I will revel in their divorce!”
However, Bristowe is firing back and defended her love life with Booth.
Fans started tweeting Bristowe shortly after Lane’s interview went viral, and Bristowe didn’t hold back with her thoughts about her former suitor.
“He needs to put on a pink shirt, remember he has a daughter, and try for ONE day to be kind,” Bristowe tweeted about Lane. “Shame on him.”
One Twitter user agreed with Lane, saying that Bristowe’s relationship with Booth is fake and tweeted, “Of course they’re in it only for the money. Snapchatting every moment, desperate to stay in the spotlight.”
However, it’s hard to take the user’s comment seriously since the user only has three tweets on her account, all of which insult Bristowe. “The Bachelorette” defended herself and replied back, “I love that I have enough power over you emotions for you to make a fake account to ‘insult’ me.”
Bristowe and Booth have proved multiple times that their relationship is genuine and have gushed about each other a lot to the media.
Now that all public eyes are off of the couple, they decided to start over and adjust to their life off camera. Booth shared that he plans to propose to Bristowe for the second time to make it feel like a real engagement.
Booth revealed some of his big plans to Us Magazine, saying, “We used the show to meet each other and find each other, but we really started dating after the show.”
Bristowe is reportedly looking forward to Booth proposing again, and knows about the plan, but doesn’t know the details or how it will happen.
“When I pictures a guy proposing to me, I don’t picture knowing it’s coming and cameras. I want to be surprised - I’m not going to say how I want it because I don’t know. But just being surprised and having that emotion, like, ‘Oh, my God!’” said Bristowe.
We were so excited to be normal,” said Bristowe to People magazine. “For so long [while the show was airing], we were separated and told we couldn’t do this or do that. It was the most exciting thing in the world when we could go on our first date together!”
Bristowe and Booth are currently settling into their new home in Nashville and look forward to showing their fans who they are as a couple.
