"Once Upon A Time" season 5B will not only bring back several old characters, but it will also introduce the younger version of two sisters: Regina Mills (Lana Parilla) and Zelena (Rebecca Mader).
According to TV Line, "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" actress Ava Acres has just been cast as the younger version of Regina, while English actress Isabella Blake-Thomas will portray the younger version of her sister Zelena.
They will both appear in the episode entitled "Sisters" and show how a 10-year-old Regina deals with her loneliness and her family's neglect. Zelena, on the other hand, conquers her magical ability, much to the displeasure of her father.
Barbara Hershey will reprise her role as the girls' mother Cora.
The last Zelena was seen, she was banished back to Oz but will be back to battle the warrior Dorothy Gale (played by Teri Reeves).
"(Zelena) is absolutely not done," co-creator Edward Kitsis teased. "The Zelena story in Oz, with Dorothy, will tie into our Underworld story pretty significantly."
Earlier, Mills revealed to Entertainment Online that exciting new storylines will open up for the main characters because they will be going on a journey to hell.
"We're taking everyone to the underworld. So, we're basically entering hell, which is really exciting because there are a lot of characters who have died on the show that are going to make an appearance in the second half of the season," Parrilla shared.
Aside from Cora, other characters who will be reappearing include Peter Pan (Robbie Kay), Sidney Glass (Giancarlo Esposito) and the Blind Witch (Emma Caulfield).
The show will even go the mythological route since they would be introducing new characters such as Hades (Greg Germann), Hercules (Jonathan Whitesell) and Megara (Kacey Rohl).
"Once Upon A Time" will return to ABC on March 6.
