STARZ recently released the titles for the first two episodes of "Outlander" season two as well as three new promotional pictures.
SpoilerTV reported that the "Outlander" season two premiere is going to be titled "Through A Glass, Darkly" while the second episode will be called "Not In Scotland."
Carter Matt pointed out that "Through A Glass, Darkly" is a phrase that originated from the Christian Bible. It is possible that the executive producers chose to use this quote as the title for the "Outlander" season two premiere in order to signify a change in perception.
Perhaps the "Outlander" season two premiere will open with a scene of Claire Fraser on the boat heading towards France and a monologue about how her perception of the world has changed after the events of the first season.
The title of "Outlander" season two, episode two could be a playful reference to Dorothy's famous quote from the film "The Wizard of Oz."
It is possible that there will be funny moment when Claire arrives in France and wryly tells her husband Jamie "they're not in Scotland anymore."
Of course, Jamie would not understand the reference to "The Wizard of Oz" and so Claire would have to explain the plot of the movie to him.
Aside from the new episode titles, STARZ also released three new promotional pictures for "Outlander" season two on Instagram.
The first photo hinted that Jamie and Murtagh stole a letter that contains information about Bonnie Prince Charlie's plan to invade Scotland and take back his father's throne.
The second image showed Jamie talking to a French nobleman and there is a good chance he is pretending to be a Jacobite sympathizer in order to figure out a way to stop Bonne Prince Charlie's rebellion.
The final picture is an aerial shot of Claire talking to a young woman while they walk in the French king's gardens.
The "Outlander" season two premiere will air on Saturday, April 9 at 9 p.m. on STARZ.
