Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht) of "Suits" is an unflappable lawyer who always has things under control even if everyone else around him is losing their marbles.
However, there have been two instances where Harvey's emotions got the better of him -- Donna Paulsen's (Sarah Rafferty) departure and the culmination of Mike Ross' (Patrick J Adams) fraud case.
In the episode "Tick Tock," Harvey almost went to government prosecutor Anita Gibbs and turned himself in. Donna managed to talk him out of it, but Macht told Yahoo! TV that Harvey's actually an emotional mess.
"I think underneath he believes that Mike can do well, but subconsciously, he also thinks that the jury will find him guilty," he shared. "He's gone every route possible to try to figure out how to get Mike out of this mess. He finally comes to someone that he can be vulnerable with and tell the truth to, which is he's scared s-tless of the outcome."
Instead of dealing with his inner turmoil, Macht said that Harvey would prefer to "take the responsibility and fall on the sword himself and turn himself in."
Macht added that it was one of the few scenes where Harvey was "vulnerable," and he considers it a challenge to play because it's rare to see Harvey frightened.
"You saw him unknowing of what potential future is in store for them, and he's so scared that Mike might not be able to handle it. Harvey was so close to turning himself in to pay the piper," he said.
Even Gina Torres, who plays Harvey's mentor Jessica Pearson, does not feel optimistic about the outcome of Mike's case.
"I'm pretty amazed that we get away with as much as we get away with. Between Mike's genius and Harvey's swagger and Jessica's chess game, at the end of every season we just narrowly miss it... Yeah, I don't think that's going to happen this season," she said during The Wrap's "Drinking With the Stars."
