(Photo : HBO/Niko Tavernise) Bobby Carnavale portrays a record executive making all the wrong choices in HBO's "Vinyl."

"Vinyl's" second episode continued the rock and roll rollercoaster that is the life of record executive Richie Finestra and spun it out of control even more than before.

Finestra found himself in a movie theater watching Bruce Lee's "Enter the Dragon" and caked in blood and cocaine, entered into the American Century Records office and declared he was mugged "by God."

He then remarked, "But I took his wallet instead."

"Yesterday Once More" depicted the character of Richie Finestra as more of a bafoon than a serious record executive, even though series star Bobby Cannavale attempted to play his character straight.

Fans were treated to flashbacks to a time of decadence and debauchery and even got to enter the world of Andy Warhol's The Factory, where Warhol held court and The Velvet Underground was the house band.

It was at The Factory that Richie met his wife Devon and the two had an eventful sexual romp in the club's restroom.

Devon was a photographer embedded in the downtown scene that included Warhol and his crew.

The scenes of yesterday quickly segued into the series present time and Devon's current life as a mom came into focus, leaving her to wonder the state of her marriage to Richie now that he was devoting his entire life to the music business.

Viewers saw the character at Friendly's, reminiscing to a simpler time while listening to a tune by The Carpenters titled "Yesterday Once More."

Richie's life decisions finally caught up with him when Devon showed up at their New York City apartment and saw her husband coming down from another all-nighter wasted on drugs and drink.

Seeing just how far down his life has spiraled, Richie broke down in front of his wife.

Also starring with Finestra in the limited-run HBO series are Ray Romano, as American Century's payola master,  J. C. MacKenzie as the company's accountant, Ian Hart as Led Zeppelin's manager Peter Grant, and Andrew Dice Clay as a radio mogul.

"Vinyl" airs on HBO Sunday nights at 9 p.m. EST.
