If Hollywood was to award any of its stars with an industriousness medal, "X-Men: Apocalypse" star Evan Peters might just be a worthy contender.

Director Bryan Singer recently revealed that the actor labored for almost two months just to film less than three minutes of screen time.

On his Instagram account (@bryanjaysinger), the director shared a photo of Peters as Quicksilver and captioned it: "You can have fast or cute. Thank you @20thcenturyfox marketing #marcweinstock #davesingh #elyorias and the team for getting us on #superbowl50 #nfl #fox#football #XMen #xmenapocalypse FYI this scene with #evanpeters as #quicksilver took one and a half months for a less than 3 minute sequence resulting in Evan working longer than any other actor on the film. Thanks Evan and #ryanmurphy @ahsfx for accommodating!"

Quicksilver's role in "X-Men: Days of Future Past" was a surprise hit, and both Singer and Peters hope that his action sequence in "Apocalypse" would prove to be even better.

"Well, yeah, it's always difficult to try to top something like that," Peters told MTV. "The special effects guys, man, they absolutely nailed that and did a fantastic job on it. This year we're working on something that's bigger and better, keeping the same elements that worked, then adding a few new ones. I'm really excited to see it all cut together, and I'm excited for people to see it, too."

Even though he is done with his scenes for "Apocalypse," Peters feels somewhat nostalgic since he had an incredible time filming with co-stars Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender and James McAvoy, among many others.

"Everybody on set is just so nice, and so friendly and welcoming. We're all this big family that's stuck on this ginormous ship that is sailing slowly along. So I think everybody is incredibly nice, I'll tell you that much," the actor shared.

"X-Men: Apocalypse" has been scheduled for release on May 27.
