The cast of "Arrow" recently appeared at the Heroes and Villains Fan Fest in Chicago and during the panel, Stephen Amell confirmed that Oliver Queen will not rekindle his romance with Laurel Lance.
SpoilerTV noted that Amell said there is no chance that Oliver will fall in love with Laurel. In the original comics, the Green Arrow is dating Black Canary and there are some loyal fans who were hoping the show would stick to the original source material.
The "Arrow" star pointed out that even though the executive producers and writers respect the canon, at the end of the day they have to do what is best for the show.
Amell also pointed out that "Arrow" has "pivoted away" from having Oliver and Laurel fall in love.
Aside from confirming there's no chance of Oliver falling in love with Laurel, Amell admitted he'd love it if Oliver told Felicity about the time he saw her in Queen Consolidated.
In "Arrow" season three, there was a flashback scene where Oliver was hiding out in Queen Consolidated and saw Felicity admiring his photo. She flat-out admitted he was cute before chiding herself for having a crush on someone who was believed to be dead.
Given the fact that Felicity broke up with Oliver in "Arrow" season four, perhaps Oliver will try to win her back and there will be a cute moment where he admits that he saw her talking to his photo in Queen Consolidated.
Meanwhile, Entertainment Weekly noted that executive producer Andrew Kreisberg recently hinted that there is going to be a few "surprising exits and returns" between "The Flash," "Supergirl," "Arrow" and "Legends of Tomorrow."
SpoilerTV added that Caity Lotz revealed Sara Lance is going to see Nyssa al Ghul again at the Heroes and Villains Fan Fest.
Perhaps Rip Hunter will recruit Nyssa for his team now that Carter Hall (Hawkman) and Mick Rory (Heat Wave) are dead, which would explain why Lotz recently hinted at a reunion.
"Arrow" season four will return on Wednesday, March 22, at 8 p.m. ET on the CW.
