During the very important journalistic research that went into our report on the fashion secrets of The Bachelor, we unearthed a nugget of wisdom from Chris Harrison that sounds like the simplest trick to warding off aches from a long night (or rose ceremony) spent in heels: Take a Midol.

Jillian Harris, star of season five of The Bachelorette, said Harrison suggested a preemptive dose to help deal with both a tired appearance and hours spent standing. "If my face was puffy, it would debloat me, and it has a painkiller so it made my feet feel better in heels. Now, before I go out at night, I'll take one an hour before," she explained. Unlike Tylenol, Midol contains a dose of caffeine equal to approximately one cup of coffee, intended to help with fatigue and the bloating Harris mentioned (while acetaminophen aims to fight stiletto ache).

Easy enough, huh? Plus, compared to the craziest high heel hack we've heard, this one sounds downright tame.

In other show news, the new Bachelorette has been revealed!
