What can fans expect of Gal Gadot's superhero Wonder Woman in Zack Snyder's upcoming film "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice"?
According to producer Deborah Snyder, fans will be amazed by her abilities, but they still toned things down a bit so that there will be more things to surprise moviegoers when Wonder Woman's standalone film is released next year.
"I think that Zack and Geoff Johns sat down and outlined these stories, many of them at least. Really, we did a chart with what their powers were, like what Superman's powers were, and I think you see a little bit of Wonder Woman," she told Collider. "So we get a sense of her power but we didn't want to do too much because obviously [director] Patty [Jenkin]'s going to build up to that and we're going to learn how she discovers her powers in that movie."
Snyder added that Wonder Woman won't be the only new superhero in the film since they will also be introducing Aquaman, Flash and Cyborg.
"Those are a little bit more cameo, so you see a little bit that there's something different but we don't want to give too much away because we were just in the process, and we still are, of developing those scripts," she said.
Gadot earlier said that she made one specific request before appearing in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice."
"For 'BvS' it was important for me that we show how independent she is. She is not relying on a man, and she's not there because of a love story. She's not there to serve someone else," she told Glamour.
Despite all of her strengths and powers, Gadot said that Wonder Woman, also known as Diana Prince, is still a "loving" woman who has "a lot of emotional intelligence."
"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" will be released on March 25, while "Wonder Woman" has been scheduled for release on June 23, 2017.
