Why is it that Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo of the K-drama series "Descendants Of The Sun" keep missing on each other?
On the KBS K-drama series "Descendants Of The Sun," episode 5, which aired on Mar. 9, 2016, Yoo Shi Jin (Song Joong Ki) and Kang Mo Yeon (Song Hye Kyo) had another miscommunication.
Yoo Shi Jin told Kang Mo Yeon how much he liked her, but she brushed it away. She had been stressed about Yoo Shi Jin's strict, unreliable work schedule and had decided against dating him.
"I feel like I get dumped every time I'm on vacation," Yoo Shi Jin told friend after he arrived to Korea for his brief vacation. Kang Mo Yeon regretted not taking his feelings seriously.
On the day her team was scheduled to leave for Korea, there was a huge earthquake in Uruk. Kang Mo Yeon dropped her plans to go back and saw patients. Yoo Shi Jin, soon after hearing the news in Korea, decided to head back to Uruk right away.
In Uruk, the two miraculously met again. "I wished you wouldn't get hurt," Yoo Shi Jin said, looking down at Kang Mo Yeon's injured leg, "I regretted not seeing your face that morning before I left. Please be safe." "Be safe, captain," Kang Mo Yeon replied.
The popular melodrama "Descendants Of The Sun" is written by "The Heirs" scriptwriter and chronicles the lives of young soldiers in Uruk, which is an imaginary country at war. In addition to Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo, actors Kim Ji Won, Onew (SHINee) and Jin Goo star in the drama.
"Descendants Of The Sun" airs Wednesdays and Thursdays at 10 p.m. KST on KBS.
